Good match! I want to be in your team!

Dear EdgeRyders,

I would love to be part of the team! Reading about you brings up enthusiasm and energy and this usually means for me we’re a good match.

I’m an ambassador for social change.

I am passionate about developing myself as a human being, understanding more about how I work on a psichological level and thus become more empathic with those around me. I have a huge apetite for observing and analizing and challenging my beliefs, patterns and inner structures (that includes the outer ones as well) and I admire people that do the same.

I am passionate about artistic an creative ways to communicate about new ways of living and seeing the world. I believe that change that change that happens only in our mind but not in our hearts and our body (through experience) does not sustain. For me, art is a way to touch people in a way that any rational thought can never do.

I am passionate about tools and methods that foster collaboration since I believe that this is one of the biggest challenges of our time - to (really) learn to work together. We are called to develop alternative solutions for addressing old problems, and to assume a new perspective that honors our individual needs while addressing the urgency for more integrated and interdependent human organization. I’m interested in ways to tap into collective intelligence in order for us to make more conscious and effective decisions together in a way that facilitates co-creativity, fosters transparency and guarantees the equivalence. This is also one of the biggest challenges I meet again and again in my work and one of the solutions I´ve found that addresses the topic of governance and decision making is Sociocracy 3.0.

I am passionate about people and projects that are a living example that a better world is possible. I know from my own experience that reading, hearing and especially meeting people that are bringing positive change in their communities brings a lot of inspiration and hope and creates the premises for future collaboration- this is for me the biggest contribution EdgeRyders brings in the community.

I would approach for an interview or to invite at the event in July: James Priest (consultant, facilitator and trainer specialising in holistic organisational development, distributed leadership implementation, and complex systems optimization), Claudian Dobos (president of ECOLISE - European Network of Community-Led Initiatives on Climate Change and Sustainability, a coalition of organisations engaged in promoting and supporting local communities across Europe in their efforts to build pathways to a sustainable future), Pavlik Elf (hacker, living strictly money-less and stateless since 5 years)Adela and Dan from Casa de Cultura Permanenta, Cluj (o casă deschisă creativităţii bazate pe economia darului, simplitate voluntară, spirit de comunitate şi permacultură). How I would approach them? Well, I know them personally, some of them are close friends, so I would share with them about this new great project I´m involved in and invite them to be part!

Practicalities about me: living in Berlin, travelling at the moment. Will be in Bucharest from the 29th of Mai until 7th of June for a Dragon Dreaming course. Love to work in Communication & PR and Administration and ´ve been doing it since 5 years in the NGO field. Last projects – ecobasa.org, zonadynamic.com, living-gaia.org, communitiesconvergence.org… and many others.

You can check my Linkedin profile for more information about my work history.

Looking forward to hear from you!

Warm greetings,

Lili David

Common friends, yaay!

Hi @Lili_David, wow such a small world - are you from Cluj originally or from Bucharest?

I know Adela and Dan, very impressed by what they are doing opening their home to everyone who walks in. One time they told me not to even knock, just enter.

And the lovely @elf_Pavlik is already here on Edgeryders since years, paying his dues like everyone else walking the earth and shouldering some of the most meaningful things I’ve come to learn about through people like him.

I wanted to attend sociocracy workshops for some time, but I always miss them in Romania :frowning: Maybe another chance while I’m in Bucharest?

Also, you might want to join us tomorrow morning in the community call at 11, it’s open to everyone and a good chance to catch up. And to give you a heads up, there’s another thread about engagement online and how we can reach people in countries less digitalized or not big fans of platforms where so much content is in English. Would be curious to hear your thoughts… Romania might be in the same situation.

Hey @Noemi,

It’s true, the world is so small!

I’m originally from Iasi, but I will be in Cluj next week for some day and I’ll stay at Casa de Cultura Permanenta! I edited an interview with them while working @ecobasa.org. And Pavlik I met in Berlin!

There is a Sociocracy course in July in Covasna with James and Andrei, check here.

I will be there tomorrow for the meeting, already added edgeryders on my skype. Looking forward!

At the moment I’m visiting my sister in Italy and I’m trying to be as much as possible present with her and my nephew, but I’ll put a reminder to check up the discussion you suggested later.

warm hugs,

Lili

The sociocracy workshop

Ah, I see I had bookmarked it, but unfortunately it’s 380 EUR, can’t afford it. Will have to catch a shorter, more ad-hoc meetup to talk to these guys… :expressionless:
