Here we are! Hi everyone!

Sorry for joining the thread just a bit later. It’s Francesco here and I work in the Relations and Development area for Matera 2019! I am very happy to be part of the community building team and hope I can give a useful contribution to it!

A little bit about me, I am 26 year old and I graduated in Arts, Festivals and Cultural Management in Edinburgh a bit more than one year ago! I then came back to my hometown, Trani, where I founded UFFA a collective dealing with, civic engagement, urban regeneration and good practice for community building. Have a look at what we do and hope it can be inspiring for everyone!

Ciao a tutti! Good thing of being late is that some of you hopefully already know me!

I’m Anna, a Neapolitan (junior!) cultural project manager, I’ve studied abroad yet came back to Italy cause this is where I want to work and make a difference! My main driver is the strong conviction that we have a duty to increase accessibility to culture. And we have to do it through as many fields as possible in as many creative ways envisionable for as many people as possible! Sure that sharing views and methods about how to build a strong community is the way to start together!

Here is the social network of this thread. Quite a bit clearer than yesterday’s string! An advantage of online platforms is they have perfect recall, and they allow us to think about our experience and how to learn from it.

In this case, almost everyone replied to @johncoate, but did not really talk to each other. This is not what you normally want in a community (can you guess why?), but it makes sense in a “introduce yourself” thread.

Yesterday, while my father was driving us back to Amantea, Calabria, I enjoyed reading “The Epic Saga of The Well”. the article from '97 that @johncoate has shown us! It’s great, really inspiring, have a look!
Thanks again @johncoate and @noemi - we’ll talk soon!
