A group where we coordinate to deliver a research project on community-driven care services. The idea first came in the context of a LOTE4 session proposed and led by Rémy Cagnol. We wrote a proposal in February-March 2015, which got funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 framework programme. Everyone is welcome to participate.

Join the OpenCare #countonme list!

You get a daily email with 3 headlines, you share them with your friends and send in your own news in return through a simple email reply. These are picked up by the official ER social media accounts (>3400 followers on facebook and twitter alike) and become the next day’s network headlines which are again spread by everyone in the list.. It’s fast and cheap.

Checkout the InPe testing and development video

Hello Everyone,

So you might have already seen this video in Milan, if not, please check the link here :)

During the month of October, InPe team dedicated time to design a strategy for testing, start actual testing in different situtaions, and we are happy to share part of the ongoing story of InPe, in a video starring @francesco Zava!

Finalizing 2016 reporting [Luce]

This is meant mostly for @LuceChiodelliUB .

I am finished with Technical Reports parts A and B as far as Edgeryders is concerned. As I understand it, you still need from me:

  1. Section 1.1 (consortium-wide) of Technical Report Part A.
  2. Update the Budget Tracker and Timesheet with the last round of payments.
  3. Ethics stuff.

What I need to know:

D2.3 Draft report on engaging open networks in meaningful online conversations

I assume it will be me working on this..

@LuceChiodelliUB can you let me know when is this due? End of December or later?

Equally important, rather than text, can I make it into a collection of slides with text, so that it is more useful to the partners too? I would like to expand the presentation I did in Milano into something more detailed. An example.

Write a brief summary of OpenCare for Acupuncture Quarterly

Hi, was hoping we might be able to get an article together for Acupuncture Quarterly, a magazine I edit that goes out to about 3000 UK acupuncturists.

Our next issue is on new paradigms in health and care [which seems pretty relevant!], and we have some space for additional articles.

We'd need it by early next week, I'm afraid [should have thought of this sooner], but it doesn't need to be long:

Hacking Health Bordeaux

The event is a hackathon week-end around :

  • Takes place in Bordeaux, in a building called the "Athénée municipal"
  • Starts on Friday October 21 (late afternoon) / Ends on Sunday (afternoon)

D 1.5 Documentation from onboarding workshops due end of Sept

Edgeryders is leading this deliverable:

D1.5 Collection of textual and visual documentation from onboarding workshops. It includes a methodological note on facilitation and offline engagement, as well as follow up materials like media articles and testimonials (delivery date: month 9)

We will submit what we have from Milano and the cities currently involved in hosting workshops: Thessaloniki, Brussels, Berlin.

[Slides Presentation] Methods and tools for OpenCare community engagement

A presentation by Edgeryders for OpenCare partners and communities in Milano.

It is intended to share key ways in which we approach community building and some methods for engagement. I include less info about communication activities per se because most of our communication is included in engagement activities.

OpenCare evaluation forms

OpenCare was approved with a stellar evaluation. We got 14.5 points out of 15. We got 5 out of 5 on excellence, and 5 out 5 on impact.

The evaluation reports are attached.

Open Care Tag Documentation

 Method:

first pass; open coding, flat structure

second pass: consolidate tags that are the same, fork tags that describe different phenoms, organize into hierarchies (and kinds, e.g. "research questions" and "case studies" vs "open hardware" and "healthcare and labour")

Ideas for prioritisation/triage (ideas and input would be great here):

1) code most commented posts first

2) post-level coding rather than line-by-line

3) focus on non-admin posts

4) one challenge and work way through, or distribute energy equally across challenges?
