I actually find it quite rewarding to write these little stories for the newsletter. Now that we might not be sending out that many any more, since we are soon going to be complete, I was wondering whether it could be an option to add some sort of “latest news” section to our website?
I would be happy to write 3-4 stories per year, and maybe there are other Reeflings who also feel inspired to contribute something every now and then?
I don’t think it’s a super essential section to our website, and at the same time I think it can give a very nice touch to it, by giving some insights into what is going on in our community, or how our project is evolving.
What do you think?
On the technical front, at some point I seem to have understood from @alberto that it is possible to link the forum to the website, so that this new section would just draw from what we have here (but that’s an implementation detail).
This was indeed the tech underpinning our website for a long time. No longer: Team Ext has decided to move to Wordpress, so now you would be using that.
That is not necessarily a problem, there must be a Wordpress plugin that pulls a RSS feed from somewhere and visualizes it. And everything on this forum has an RSS feed.
I think it’s a good idea, and fairly easy to execute. We can simply add a section anywhere on the English page and post a story, an image, an illustration… and edit it every few months.

If you’d rather have one of us do it, just provide a text in the folder ‘website revision’ and we’ll make sure it appears on the page.
I’m not very good at stuff like that, so I might go for a Word document if that’s ok. Let’s wait for the first newsworthy story and see how we can make this work?
