As of 1 nov 2020, the open source project has been discontinued, as you can read from their website:
“Booked Scheduler has become a full SaaS offering on November 1, 2020 and the open source project will be discontinued.”

Thank you for alerting us to this. I have added that announcement to the wiki above now, and also changed the links to the effgarces/BookedScheduler fork, which intends to provide bugfixes and maintenance in a limited way.

Surely the best list. It would be great if you also include deskflex as a resource scheduling software.

Since I am affiliated with them I would also like to add the Wordpress Plugin CommonsBooking (commonsbooking.org). It has been created for the free cargo bike movement and is a bit of a different booking system because it integrates into Wordpress as a popular CMS to allow initiatives to customize their websites to the fullest degree and supports having multiple locations including maps of items at locations. It has been developed for and by the community but can also be used to power a small lending library or even a tool sharing among a small local community. We have tried to make adoption as easy as possible through an extensive documentation, I would love for you to check it out.

Sorry, not a match. This list is only for open source resource scheduling software.

I’ve just found and already tried out this fantastic piece: https://github.com/sebo-b/warp - it is for workspace booking, and the interface design is excellent.

Btw, it’s incredible how difficult it is to search for this kind of software. And the number one reason is the dishonest, manipulative communication of all the “freemium” open source companies, and also the list makers (except this one!). With the real free software projects the main issue is maintenance, I think more than half of the original list hasn’t seen new commits in the last 2-7 years, and that’s prohibitive unless you are willing to take over the development.

Another booking solution, originally developed for tennis courts. (I’m not affiliated)

The following github-awesome page contains a list of so called “Leih-Läden” (~ borrowing shops) and a list of Software which they or you can use. GitHub - mojoaxel/awesome-leihladen: Infos zu bestehenden Leihläden, Konzepten und Software

The software list has some entries, which are missing in this thread. Because requirements of the software, which matches the initial thread start, I thought it is worth mentioning them here.

  • consum
  • Leila-DB
  • LeihLokalVerwaltung
  • ResourceHub

Thanks for curating this awesome list here! I return here very frequently to search through its contents.
