it look to good to be true but indeed we must do anything we can to settle ourselves in Kaouki, I dont even know where to begin, but I just met someone there connected by @iriedawta, via anna on FB, then serendipity enters via improvisation and meeting someone phisically to meeting other bunch of people to finally made serious eye contacts, finally with a large smile going to Kaouiki in a minicooper searching for Moustapha riding his horses somewhere between the beach and the forest... perfect synchronicity with his project of local permaculture and building a nice community around. He is a shoe maker, a philosopher, a musician, a horse trainer, he speaks 6 languages and perfect english and we had wild visions and enlightened conclusions.
I will go back tomorrow and search for a house (for at least 5 people to begin with?) even if high season Moustapha thinks we can find something related to our budget, then septembre is gonna be easier to find something cheap here.
its 25 minutes away from Essaouira, and we know few people wanting to invest time and money into building something self sufficiant, and of course also creating a music festival...there was no big surprise for us to meet, it was just pure synchronicity...we are use to this haha
there are also few rooms left in the local hotels so for short terms in can be an option to explore more options, but he allready knows everyone...perhaps 50 famillies leave there full time and few authentic tourists avoiding the essaouira hype and rythmically heavy gnawa culture, some people stay there for the 2 months of summer
@nadia I found a place for your ladies café in essaouira
- I wanted horses to ride and commute and I found it...I m stuck in here I m afraid
