Yes, to recap a few points we made:
Video with three participants worked very well. There was good quality and no latency issues. It remains to be test with more participants. If 5/6 people need to spontaneously video conference, this would be a good opportunity to test it further.
We will be using it for team calls and unscheduled calls for now. As @MariaEuler mentioned it might be not be the best time to move our community calls, asking members who have just been on-boarded with zoom to change their setup on short notice.
The chat will be improved In particular, images and links, as well a quick way to take call notes within the chat interface and have these exported to the platform
calls.edgeryders.eu is a page to consolidate all our calls in one place, making it easier for new people to see what calls are happening this week. It’s a separate thing from now.edgeryders.eu.
The process to add scheduled calls to that page:
- Create a new topic with the tag
call + any specific topic or channel, for example
- Add an event schedule to this topic, as shown here:
- Including a small code snippet that has info on the call:
"host": "link to the call (zoom/skype/now.edgeryders.eu)",
"info": "basic info about the call"
Include this code inside a code block in the post, by selecting the text and clicking on the code button in the toolbar:
The call will show up on the calendar.
