New helping circle: starting an energy community

Hi Els, I don’t know the definition of a passive building, so I am not sure if my building qualifies. In any case, it is a recent construction and I don’t consume much.

Heating is gas. I don’t know the gas consumption because this is calculated on a yearly basis by the syndic, who charges monthly and sends us the final bill at the end of the year. I have asked about my exact consumption but no answer yet.

A few years ago we installed a cogenerateur. I guess that is for the commons (elevators etc)?

Cooking is electricity. I consumed 1061 kwh electricity in 2024.

Hi Els, just to let you know that I am on this, but that we haven’t managed to log in to our Engie account :see_no_evil: We indeed have a passive/low energy house with no gas and heatpump.

@Els, I still owe you an answer on this one, but I don’t have it. When I tried to fill in the data from our electricity meter, I found out that the initial data from our contract are wrong, which opened an administrative box of Pandora…

How about I ask our friends who live in Brutopia? 4 person household (2 parents, 2 kids), 120m2 apartment (I guess)

No need , thanks for offering:-). Brutipia still works with gas I assume.
We have in the meantime the answer from the facilitator, including heat pumps so that should do it.

That is correct.

Just want to signal that @Sterre has decided to leave this helping circle.

If anyone would want to join this helping circle, you would be very welcome.

It looks like it will be ‘calm’ the coming months for this helping circle, so we would be looking for some extra help in a few months. (will do again a call for volunteers at that point)

for those interested.

In my commune, they will install 2 batteries of 40 kWh on the cemetery.

In the info I received, the batteries are put at the disposal of the energy community of Coin du balai, by the polytechnical institute of L’ULB, in the context of their research of the storage of electricity.

Maybe interesting to inquire for the results at some point..
