Next public presentation – 29 January 2025

I guess it does help a bit, but I’m indeed worried we will end up being forced to make a decision when we get an application. We will feel pressured to say yes to people who have applied early but are not necessarily a hell-yes, just because we’re not sure whether we will get more applications.
If we really think all buddies will be comfortable putting the breaks on things, then I guess it’s ok.

I’m not very comfortable with this, and I had understood we were going to discuss it before putting it out there (no critic, I just think there was a misunderstanding), but let’s see how it goes.

This is true, and in my view inevitable. Certainly it was widely discussed when we decided to purchase the site as an incomplete group. Better make peace with it: we do our best, but we are not operating in an ideal situation.

i think the communication folder does no longer exist in The Reef shared folder. please use Team External

I updated the slide deck in the “key documents” section. It is saved in Team External > Communication > Website assets > Key documents. There you need to check you have the version of 29/01.

Somehow I didn’t manage to maintain the link though. If somebody has the energy to take care of the consistency of the link to the slide deck on all 5 web pages that would be great, otherwise so be it.

I have just send out the survey to the 27 households that were present.
This is also a gentle reminder to update your availabilities in the Buddy excel sheet so that we can smoothly match exploring members with buddies in the next few days. Thank you!

It seems like we didn’t really ask people whether they were planning to attend an online Q&A session, and if yes, which one.

Now that we have changed our governance and I have more tasks than I used to have, I would also be very grateful if somebody else could take over these sessions (even though I could make myself available if need be).

Would you be willing to find someone and set the dates?

I have arranged to do the second one on Saturday with Els. But I can’t do the one on Thursday evening. @ugne and @mieke - would you be willing to pair up for that one? Or one of you with someone else? I always find having two FMs involved makes for a better experience… :slight_smile:

Would you be willing to share the key statistics on the Exploring Members here on the forum?

If you could share the minutes of your last meeting or else the key conclusions, that would also be appreciated.

Finally a quick note that Alberto made a small addition in the onboarding manual on the need to add newlings to the “Reeflings” group on Nextcloud, to make it possible for them to get access to The Reef’s shared folder.

Not sure what you mean by ‘key statistics’. At the moment, everyone has the same access to the survey responses and overview. The deadline for filling in the survey post-presentation is tomorrow, so we will be posting an update on the current situation then…

We’ve always added newlings to the ‘Reeflings’ group when creating a Nextcloud account for them, so if it hasn’t happened at some point it is just an error or oversight… :slight_smile:

Not sure what you mean exactly with key statistisc, but I was going to post an update anyway once the survey was closed, i.e. today.

9 households filled in the survey. 2 households were put on hold because they were interested in a studio & 2 bedroom apartment, which do not exist anymore. In case that would change, we can contact them and assign a buddy to them.

So 7 households got a buddy. People are mainly interested in 3-bedroom apartments, a few wish a 1-bedroom apartment. The detailed results of the survey are saved here.

Thanks, that was indeed the information I thought would be useful to have on the forum.

As a small note for better coordination next time: usually the deadline for the survey is within 7 week days, and I usually set the deadline in the Powerpoint. So in the slide deck that we sent around it said “5 February” as the deadline. Not a biggie, just something to bear in mind.

Deadline in the email that I sent out was “before 7 Feb” so actually they got 1 more day. For some reason I noted down 7 February instead of 5… so I might have made a miscalculation.
