I'm back to post an update on my last topic.
About two weeks ago I made the starter tea for growing a scoby. Both jars were made with the same recipe, but the largest jar contains the 'baby'.
As you can see on the picture below, the biggest jar has a thin scoby floating on top.
It had some air bubbles underneath so I 'massaged' them out.
In the smaller jar, the scoby sank on one side and sticks to the jar on the other side. I am guessing this is a result of the tea evaporating? That's maybe why it didn't happen in the bigger jar, because this contains more fluid. I heard that you are supposed to add extra tea, but I didn't bring any with me. So I decided to let it be and see what happens.
