the newsletter tool costs 172 per year
Just as a general reference: the way we work the 6-monthly budget that is consented to at group level is itemised, so if you want to buy something that is not on that list, I’m afraid you will have to do an “unforeseen expenses” process, regardless of whether you have budget or not.

- rotate the Coordinator role every 6 weeks, starting next month
- reduce strategy & governance meeting to every 6 weeks (at the close of a turn of coordinator duty)

Team, the newsletter is ready. @manuelpueyo, please give it a final, quick proofread for spelling, and then it’s good to send ASAP. Note: Sending also via Signal as the Nextcloud upload disturbed the colors/editing a bit.

I have looked at the paid options. Other than the unlimited contacts data base, there are many other options I find interesting and possibly value-for-money :
- segmentation (we would send out newsletters at some point only to people having expressed an interest in 3 BR only, for instance).
- Brand Kit : add Reef logo and color scheme to make our cohousing more recognisable.
- Custom Unsubscribe Page : to add a form where we can see why people don’t want to get our newsletter any longer.
If the team is ok to have this expense, I can put up the unforeseen expense poll.

In the future, can you edit the text directly in nextcloud? we use nextcloud for a reason, we try to reduce dependency from Microsoft and show that alternative tools to american surveillance capitalism that are polarizing our society are possible… and that they work well.

thank you for the effort! i am happy to send it as it is. it’s short term. however i think as team external we need to have a basic reflection to frame the newsletter. a minimum of things like the tone of voice, the what we say, etc. so that our copywriter @Liesbet or whoever is there in the future writing the copy, ensures some consistency

Unfortunately, I am dependant of the fact of not having a personal computer and having to use my work one - I can therefore not use NextCloud full functionalities as I cannot install external software on my PC. Furthermore, I have tried using the online version, but there is a very big learning curve (formulas in Excel for instance) for which I can difficulty find more time for now. But once things get less time pressing, promise to dive in more.

@reef-external @Lee Hello all, following our dicussions on the previous strategy meeting, Team External decided to rotate the Coordinator role and I am the rotating coordinator for the periof between 01/12/2025 and 11/01/2026 ( six weeks )
