Yes, ideally we would get a bit more clarity on who got the green light for what exactly. Going up in the number of square meters may be possible if staying on the low end of the price fork, but ideally going up in square meters should never be automatic.
during our meeting with the confesseurs on Saturday, we based our calculations on the number shown in the presentation and didn’t include the 10% safety margin. That made our ability to pay the mortgage look more optimistic than it actually is. We ran a simulation ourselves at home afterwards. It still looks doable, but for sure more challenging.
For future meetings, it could be helpful to give people some guidance on the process and the calculation beyond the price listed in the slide deck.

We used to indicate 750 euros for basic finishings but have recently discussed rising this number to 900 euros because the first number might be outdated (i.e. too low with current inflation, increase of prices for materials etc.). We have a meeting with the architects tomorrow and will ask about whether 750 euros is still feasible and what it would look like. Will report back @Wenwei

TL;DR: the architects will make a simulation for 750 and 900 euro, with a very detailed list of what it includes. This will get by mid next week.
What we learnt yesterday was that in the “baseline apartment” (i.e. roughly 750 euros in current prices), only the painting and the kitchen were diy (so a perfectly comfortable and livable apartment) but more on that next week as Lee said.
