Christina Jordan is an American “global gypsy” and social innovator with 25+ years experience in international development, including nearly ten years in multilateral/bilateral aid project marketing and management, and more than ten years designing/facilitating local and online community collaboration strategies. In 2001 she became the first Ashoka Fellow in East Africa, for her innovations using the internet to support community based development in Uganda. In Belgium, Christina founded a not-for-profit facilitation practice to support local and global collaboration among groups and communities who want to create change. She has recently relocated to Chiang Mai, Thailand, from where – in addition to nurturing Ci2i Global – she is co-creating a book with a community of displaced women in Uganda, and guiding a group of Burmese refugees who live at a garbage dump on the Thai/Myanmar border.
