About me - I'm a musician, linguist and tech enthusiast.

As a bandleader I've toured the world and headlined concerts to over 40000 people; in an A&R capacity helped to discover Virgin multi-platinum artist KT Tunstall alongside many others, sold over 250,000 albums with my group Oi Va Voi (Outcaste/EMI/V2) and worked alongside the biggest producers in music, including Mike Spencer (Jamiroquai, Rizzle Kicks, Kylie Minogue) and multi-Grammy winner Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Adele, Plan B).

Tonguesten (ReBeats) is an itch I had to scratch - borne out of a personal obsession with language learning (I know 7-ish), and for years was an English tutor to non-native English speaking teenagers and worked as Music Director of education and arts charity Yad Arts.

My love of languages has led to travel and work in Tokyo, Moscow and Jerusalem where I set up my own production company, which in the space of a year sold original content to dozens of international broadcasters. As an arts consultant, I've programmed for major venues such as the Barbican and South Bank Centre, and for 3 years was resident music industry expert for WOMEX, where I co-curated the annual programme of industry conferences for the 3000+ delegates.

I love ideas, technology and culture, and believe that language is the most powerful tool of all.
