I am an ICT engineering student and a Data science enthusiast.
For the last two years, I have been a member of the Communication & Marketing department of Sup’Com Junior Enterprise. Also, I was a finalist at the Hult prize competition 2018. It is an annual, year-long competition that crowd-sources ideas from MBA and college students after challenging them to solve a pressing social issue around topics such as food security, water access, energy, and education. Our idea was a platform that helps guarantee jobs for 10,000 people within the next decade.
All of these experiences made me develop a real interest in social entrepreneurship.
Currently, I am the vice-chair of IEEE Sup’Com Student Branch, since IEEE is considered one of the world’s largest technical professional organizations dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. I seized the chance to contribute to numerous events and seminars. For instance, I was offered to be one of the media managers of the event Smart green Tunisia Makeathon’s first edition that occurred in September 2019, which was a challenge where students from different backgrounds will collaborate together to MAKE; BUILD and DEVELOP a product. These products will serve as a solution to the environmental and social challenges defined by the partnering companies. Also, I was one of the main organizers of INDABA X 2019, a one day event that was composed of special keynote sessions and workshops conducted by eminent and renowned speakers who excel in AI and Data science field. The event aimed to place Tunisia among the leading African countries in Artificial Intelligence and to push boundaries on R&D by highlighting the groundbreaking efforts already taking place in AI in our country.
Lately, I encountered the Edgeryders Community when I co-organized and reported the Event Hack For Earth with OCI Lab, the first online peer to peer incubator. It was a 12-hour hackathon, wherein the participants would work and help solve an actual environmental challenge, that aims to establish solutions for the common good and also to strengthen the AI community in Tunisia.
In the meantime , I’ve been the moderator and the storyteller of OCI LAB 2019-2020 incubator program.
