I’m an activist, community development advocate and executive director of the Centre for Human Ecology and a doctoral researcher at the Intercultural Research Centre at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh

I specialise in participatory action research and community empowerment, with a background in faith-based community development. I facilitate and lead group sessions and workshops in meditation and voice dialogue, and support communities to take effective local action for real regeneration, in areas including food justice, interfaith collaboration and increasing community capacity. I also curate public lecture series and roundtable discussions on aspects of social and environmental justice.

I’m interested in the big picture- how we create meaningful change in a time of global disruption. This means my work and interests range across human ecology, theology, art, community development and so on.

I’m an occasional opinion columnist and broadcaster and (even more) occasional musician.
