I am one of the initiators behind Ekoli, a Belgian nation-wide project to provide relevant and sustainable biology education for every child, regardless of its situation or background. Ekoli emerged from ReaGent, a non-profit Do-It-Yourself bio lab in Ghent that makes biosciences more accessible. This biological lab serves as a place for learning, prototyping and experimenting for beginners and experts alike. I'm also also part of Magma Nova, a design and innovation collective working on biodegradable materials, where I work with architects, designers and biologists to help develop sustainable solutions to material problems.
