Can you please fill in the poll above, so that we can see how to fill in this meeting? TIA!
Ok, it looks like there are quite a lot of people who can make it, so my proposal would be to use the time for a training session on our governance and working methods.
This is a “mandatory” training for Full Members (currently point 2.8 on the checklist), so probably a good opportunity to actually organise a session, now that we have the time for it.
Guillaume, who is currently exploring the project with his wife Sterre, would like to join on Tuesday. I am their buddy.
More information on the training: I would like to give a bit of background on how things got to be the way they are in The Reef, and then follow up with a couple of key points mostly on governance, sociocracy and self-responsibility, and if there is time also on The Reef’s working methods. If I find the time tomorrow, I’ll post the links to the materials in this post.
For the celebration after the training: we are expecting about 15 people, so if some people can bring a little something this should be really easy. I’m thinking maybe 3 bottles of something sparkly, 2 with something non-alcoholic, and then maybe a couple of easy bites?
Just for ease of organisation, here’s a poll:
Just to be clear: I don’t think it will be necessary (or practical) that everybody brings something, so no pressure. Would does really help though is flagging your presence, if possible in the poll in the first post, otherwise in the thread below.
Location and time: my place (address in the Nextcloud calendar), start at 19:30 sharp (please arrive 10-15 minutes in advance).
Still in Body-Mind centering course till 17/07
Update: I finalised the slide decks for tomorrow’s session, which I hope will be interesting for Reeflings old and new. The one on power and responsibility is a bit dense, so if you have time it would be great if you could have a look at that before. Idem for the other two of course, but less important.

For those who are interested in our history with the first topic, here’s the link to the original post: How to manage power and responsibility in a collaborative group
Changing topics: I have a lot of respect and admiration for people who only want to drink bubbles from a bubbles glass. I have six of those at home. I also have a couple of reusable plastic ones, and six-ten wine glasses. If there would be more than 6 people insisting on a bubbles glass, would there be somebody who could bring a couple?
Hello, sorry I will ultimately not be able to attend our meeting this evening
Hello @reeflings,
Quick follow-up to the session of last Tuesday …
For those who were there: you can find a copy of all the documents (including many more interesting reads) in the Onboarding Package: Login – Nextcloud
One main learning that I took from this session (which was echoed in the check-out round), is the importance of having session like these on a regular basis, both for newlings and oldlings. Working together as a self-managed group is really an olympic undertaking, and so it really helps to spend a bit of time together to get a refresher on the backstory of our goverance and working methods, and why it is important to tend to this together. A warm encouragement therefore to @reef-full to join for the next session (also because it’s a very nice bonding moment).
