About the use of the heart function

Hello @reeflings,

Now that several people are coming forward to take on more tasks and responsibilities, I figured it could be a good moment to bring in a reminder about the power of the  function.

My own experience is that it can be a little lonely and vulnerable sometimes, to be posting all these messages on the forum, not knowing whether anybody will read them or how they will be received. Receiving a little  on a post has therefore always meant a lot to me. I interpreted it as “I have read and appreciated your message, or at least the energy you put into it”. It’s a miniscule gesture, but it does create some meaningful  connection to me.

So if you would feel inspired, I can only warmly encourage you to sprinkle as many  around as you feel comfortable with. No need to set the bar at a coup de foudre, nothing but some appreciation should be enough. Your  might mean more for the people writing the post than you might think.

(PS: the same goes for :+1: on service announcements in the chat btw)
