Accommodation

Our team of Edgeryders super volunteers led by Ásta was reaching out to local couchsurfing community and Brusselites willing to host us. In addition to that, Kat has been reaching out to AirBnb community and we got sponsorship! So after careful consideration we have several options on the table for you, and be sure to pick one fast and write to astagh@gmail.com (unless you’ve been in touch with Ásta via email and are set to go):

Accommodation option no. 1: Get a free couch (limited offer). We put you in contact with one of the participants living in Brussels. These locations are arbitrary, so we cannot guarantee you’ll be staying close to the event venues. Places are being filled in the order of registration and requests, we only have around 10 places available for this option…

Accommodation option no. 2: Rent a space

Airbnb is a community market place for people to list, discover, and book unique accommodations around the world. Whether an apartment for a night, a private room for a week or a villa for a month, Airbnb connects people to unique travel experiences, at any price point in more than 30 000 cities around the world.

  • With our partnership with Airbnb you can benefit from a €25 discount for your booking in Brussels during the Edgeryders event (December 6th to 9th). All you have to do is to use the following coupon code when booking on Airbnb in Brussels : EDGERYDERS
  • If you are a participant living in Brussels, why not becoming a host on Airbnb? You can register on this pageand use the code FRAIR1 to get a €35 welcome reward once you complete your first booking.

Accommodation option no. 3: Edge Camp for real! L’Usine is in fact a large space and old building that can accommodate up to 30 people altogether sleeping on mattresses. There’s running water, electricity, three toilets, shower not guaranteed though, plus we’re in the process of getting the wifi. Note that this is the least comfortable option, we recommend it only if you don’t mind sleeping on a mattress and in a sleeping bag. Please bring your sleeping bag with you.

Looking forward to see you (again) soon!

Share your travel & accom tips here

If you have any travel and accomodation tips for #LOTE2 to share with your fellow Edgeryders, you can place them right here in the Etherpad. (This is not for actual accom coordination – do that by writing to Ásta, as pointed out above.)
