Just checking with @Mathilde and @Odile whether this H&P event is still on your radar?
Also, changing topics, sharing my experience from spreading flyers over the years: my experience is that the pick-up rate is fairly low. So in places that tolerate flyers (where they would stay for months) I would only see a few copies disappear. So when I read that “10 flyers were gone” in this or that supermarket, I sometimes wonder whether this is not just because they were thrown away? Maybe it could be worth paying attention to this collectively?
I also second @Wenwei’s suggestion of having a poster. If no initiative is taken I’m considering making my own A5 version in Powerpoint, just because I know a couple of bio-shops where they will stay and this way we’ll get more visibility than we have now.
Hi @Lee , we try hard to keep a bit of an overview, so if there is no dedicated thread for any Team external topic, you can write it in Team External -- general communication 2026 - #27 by els . This thread is there do follow up on the flyers dropping
Yesterday, I went to the H&P event and met @Mathilde and Daniel there. @manuelpueyo also came for a short time. That gave us the opportunity to connect with other like minded people and I gave about 15 flyers to an architect who told me that he will give them to his friends working for the EU and some flyers to people who were interested or who knew someone who could be interested.
We left 15 flyers at Farm Sint Job, in Uccle, and I left another 10 Farm Jourdan last week. I am, however, focusing my flyering strategy in the canteens at work and I other spots (waiting areas, cafe stations, etc) and have also noticed that the pickup is low -flyers stay for days/ weeks. At least they don’t seem to end up in the bin.
Yesterday, I went for a long walk with people from Saint Gilles, Forest and Marolles. I gave a few flyers to the ones interested. Today, I checked the organic shop Natural Corner 1000 Brussels (there were 2 flyers left, I put an extra 8). I also stopped by the Marché Bio des Tanneurs (there were 2 flyers left there as well, so added 8 more).
Note that from the overview page, you can download your route to Google Maps on your phone.
Please deliver feedback on locations as follows:
route
location name [not the sequence A, B, C, because these labels can change from one release to the next)
date of visit (feel free to write “today” or “yesterday”)
how many folders you dropped
Please indicate if the location does not accept folders or is closed, then I”ll remove it from the route. And if you’d like to add a location, please let me know. We go beyond bioshops now!
As will notice, quite some routes and locations are underserved; others were served many times. Thank you for all the work.
I can do route 7 next week, but I don’t have many flyers left because I gave 5 to interested people in Mont des Arts yesterday during the 1st May event. I also gave 8 flyers to people in the cultural / community center Garcia Lorca, rue des Foulons 47, 1000 Brussels yesterday. Is there any way I can get more flyers ?
