Get away weekend - Autumn 2026 🍁

Team community life started brewing the next edition of our weekend away! :grinning_cat: :smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes: :heart_on_fire: :raising_hands: :person_juggling: :person_cartwheeling:
First thing on the agenda is finding a date where a maximum of people can go. So you’ll find a poll below, let us know what could work :slight_smile: I also already include some practical info that can help us book the right place…

Baseline info :

  • We will book somewhere from friday to sunday
  • It will technically be possible to join for the day but given that we are now a big group, we will need to go a bit further to find affordable accomodation, so we could be up to 2h away
  • We are aiming at a price of max 40-50 euros pp per night (and hopefully less!)

I have no idea, lots of work-related uncertainty. I checked all options for now, but I may have to give ya’all a raincheck. We will know later. Also ping @TamaraFoubert .

Hello @reeflings!

So here are the definitive info regarding the weekend away plan!

We will be going
on the weekend of the 13-15th of November, friday to saturday
to Malmedy
in this amazing place
with

  1. Sauna/spa (Ok, but that’s just standard practice. Granted)
  2. Bowling (Really? We think so!)
  3. Mini golf (What? Come on, you’re lying now! We don’t think so )
  4. Outside fire pit (No way, that’s so perfect! We know…)
  5. Slides and sheeps (Cherry on the cake… Right?)

We were at capacity with current Reeflings, but thought it was always possible to squeeze in a few mattresses. But after the last meeting, we realised a bit more the number of current AM/EM (Yay!), and also wrapped our head around the fact that some of them came in a bit more than a pair. So we thought it was better to make a provisional plan and book an extra venue (for all of us of course!). It should be max 10mn walk away if our plan works as expected :smiley:

I love everything about it - especially that it’s in November, when everyone will be depressed and exhausted and in need for a moment surrounded by kind human beings and sheeps! :green_heart: :ram: :fire:
