50 computer science students from nationwide universities participated in a two-day “mobile application development marathon” organized in partnership with Microsoft!
As the theme for GOW is innovation and entrepreneurship for development, students were asked to develop and prototype a mobile application that tackles one of three themes: Women Empowerment, Environment and Child Online Protection!
For the first day, students attended learning sessions where experts discussed the key issues and challenges within each theme. Following the sessions, technical trainings were then given by tech-experts from microsoft. Finally, the participants split into groups to work on developing innovative mobile app solutions for one of the key issues! Tomorrow they will continue working on their apps and three winners will be chosen!!
