Improving our routines

I wanted to clarify things because they are falling through the cracks:

1. CountOnMe goes out maximum 3 times a week to 130+ subscribers (who opted in):

  • We agreed it’s short and only contains 1 story.

  • It is sent out via gmail BUT with addresses in BCC

I suggest this is out from the body email, it is out of context:

“Good For You /Good for everyone” When you post you will get a ticket to OpenVillage: Meet the OpenCarers. When you post you become eligible for the Open Fellowship."  -  when you post what? it was probably taken from other posts on edgeryders.

2. Weekend Newsletter goes out once a week to Edgeryders main list (1800+) / Futurespotters Romania (200)

  • One beautiful, well developed story with author’s journey + call for participation to openvillage. This was my favourite, although a bit overly long

  • It goes out via mailchimp. If needed we can buy a subscription.

P.S. I removed the CountOnMe members from this ER main list because it was redundant for them to get yet another email during a week.

Am I missing something?

@Owen did I get it right?

Correct, thanks for clarifying the list situation. Using a feature called sequences in the MixMax plugin I can send the same email to each address individually - avoiding the 100 contacts per email limit, so no need to BCC multiple emails anyway.

Unrelated, but i don’t know where else to put it

… and I need @Owen to see it.

Owen: when you blog (= write a post and assign it to the Blog group) please always choose an image via the “Image” field (not the “Choose file”). The image is used in our blog page. If you do not put anything in, the platform puts in a default image. All your posts have the default image, which looks kind of weird.

Of course you can reuse the same image for the post, if you want. That’s what I normally do. You do not have to re-upload the file. Once you have uploaded it, still from the Edit post screen, right-click on the image filename and select “copy link address”. Then click the “Source” button to access the source code, locate where you want to insert the image and put in this line:

<p><img src=“linkToYourFIleGoesHere.jpg” style=“width:100;” /></p>

Routines: Point 3

3. The Weekly Community calls can be promoted using Notes from the last week’s call to keep the conversation going.

Example from this week: https://edgeryders.eu/en/openvillage-coordination/creating-conditions-for-open-care-means

What it would be useful is to produce one of those flyers with a quote, even insert it in the post + social media :-)
