Milan local team (@rossana-torri @luciascopelliti @costantino -WeMake and Municipality of Milan) started working on the engagement of citizens in Opencare project.
Specifically during last week’s meeting we tried to define the processes and targets to engage.
We planned 8 events: 3 institutional presentations and 5 Engagement Sessions as a first step to outreach different communities.
The three official presentations are designed to inform citizens on a large scale and raise the interest of those among citizens, operators and makers interested in sharing the project contents and participate in various project activities. We planned:
- An istitutional presentation of the administration (February / March)
- A presentation within the forum of social policies; (end of March)
- A presentation to local makers during Arduino Day event with around 500 participants @Wemake (April 2nd)
For Engagement Sessions we identified 5 different communities.
Communities are groups of citizens who are already involved in participated and shared projects. We organize a session with each of them in order to identify individuals or groups that invest knowledge and time to develop an idea or a project, coming out from a need, either experienced or detected. We identified communities where sharing of ideas is already a practice, maybe not consolidated but surely active.
We are planning also 2 workshops on digital fabrication, IOT and makers topics (March-April). Finally we will organize a co-design path with all engaged citizens. (April - May)
“Welfare per tutti” website will support Opencare local activities, communicating all these local events.
We think it could be very useful to have a shared Opencare calendar on Edgeryders so we can all be informed on local events organized by all the partners around EU. We can add all our schedule as soon as the date are confirmed. Would it be possible? @nadia @alberto
