At the consortium meeting (well at the dinner after Day 1) we mentioned a recent paper from Von Hippel and others, called “Problem solving without problem formulation: Discovering need-solution pairs in a laboratory setting”. I am fascinated with biology as a generator of metaphors for collective intelligent phenomena, and I do tend to see the OpenCare community as crawling the solution space without really stopping to define the problem.
Anyway, someone (I think @Noemi ) thought it was relevant to the “From talk to action” paper led by @Federico_Monaco and @Ezio_Manzini and asked for the reference. Here it is:
