A. Event description
What is missing from the engineering curriculum in Tunisia, more specifically in the National School of Engineers of Sousse ENISo, is the entrepreneurial aspect, despite the high quality technical subjects, students find themselves paralyzed in front of what the world of entrepreneurship requires.
That’s why, the IEEE ENISo Student Branch, has decided to offer the opportunity for its members to learn and practice entrepreneurship through a business development boot camp followed by weekly assignments to work on project ideas to be presented during a national IEEE conference.
The program will have two Boot Camps, separated by two weeks,all along with a continuous work and prototyping for the projects. It’s about a project oriented program
B. Proposed Program
On November the 17th: The introduction to the business world with the first trainer, Mohamed Mansour, it will include workshops and training sessions respectively in ideation, Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, Business Model Canvas and pitch techniques. the day will end by presenting a project idea by each team, allowing members to have a little experience and preparing them to work on real, feasible projects.
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Ideation Session
11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Coffee Break
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: SDGs and BMC session
01:30 p.m. to 02 p.m. Lunch Break
02 p.m. to 04:30 p.m: Pitch Session and Ideas Presentation
On December the 1st: Members, coming in teams from the first Bootcamp, should have worked on their ideas and ready to take the next step into business development with the second trainer,Youssef Kaabi, they will understand how to prepare a decent business plan to ensure the feasibility and sustainability of their projects.
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Business plan introduction
11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Coffee Break
11:30 a.m. to 01 p.m.: Projects reviews and feedback session
01 p.m. to 01:30 p.m. Lunch Break
01:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m: Second business plan session (intermediate)
As engineers, they will also start working on the prototype since they should be by that time sure of all the business and engineering aspects they will implement.
The Bootcamps will be for 30 to 40 student members.
