There was a message in the Bruzz that reported that New B, after the break-up with VDK, will be focusing on crowdfunding.
My dad took the liberty to contact them to ask whether they would crowdfund a cohousing, to which they invited him to the office. The email correspondence is in the Protonmail inbox. The message is not super clear to me, but I said @coral-board would take if from here as soon as we find the space.
Maybe a great opportunity for the energy community?
I forwarded a mail from NewB to the proton mailbox (in Dutch). The mail dates from 23/11/2025. I guess this mail is linked to the article in Bruzz.
To summarize:
In October-November of this year their working group âValues, strategy and partnershipâ came together several times with as goal to investigate how the NewB community can contribute to a more honest and efficient finanancing of projects which have an impact. They did this in collaboration with CrĂ©dal, EccoNova, Hefboom, Lita, FinâCommon and Citizenfund.
The scenarioâs that are on the table.
a crowdlending platform. â requires a significantly technical and regulatory investment
a common fund
a portal for solidary financement
no new solution
They are still open for all of these scenarios, but their goal is: feasability, robustness and coherence of each model
The working group âFinances, judicial and legal aspectsâ will now analyze the feasibility of these options and the working group âOperational & ITâ will look into a technical development of the solution.
The conclusions of the steering commitee about the participatory financing project and the report of the MCS (Maatschappelijk Comité Sociaal) of this project will be presented in the AG of february 2026.
They organise an online infosession on Thursday 4/12 from 12:30 till 13:15 for shareholders, for those who want to know more or who want to share ideas.
Would they look at a loan for the units themselves, you think?
