New Nextcloud dashboard and domain integration

Tab.Digital has improved their Nexcloud service in two ways:

The first improvement is for admins. There is now a new dashboard that makes it easier to update the server when a new version of Nextcloud is released on the stable channel. https://ws.tab.digital/

The second improvement concerns all @reeflings . We are now allowed to customize our Nextcloud instance with our own domain name, so I immediately did that. Consequences:

  • The URL https://workspace.thereef.brussels will still take you to the Nextcloud login page, as it always did. Now, if you log in with your usual credentials, the address bar in the browser will display an address starting in workspace.thereef.brussels rather than https://c301.nl.tabdigital.eu.
  • Any file in our hierarchy now has two URLs. For example, both https://workspace.thereef.brussels/f/7500 and https://c301.nl.tabdigital.eu/f/123229 lead to the folder containing the agendas of the plenary meetings.
  • Sharing links starting in workspace.thereef.brussels is more professional and sleek, but otherwise no difference.
  • All old links still work.
