Just a quick post to get the ball rolling on a Full Members meeting this month. It will be a bit shorter than the usual 6-week period from the last one, but I think there’s lots to process and discuss pertaining to the recent avant-project stage.
As I’ve said before, I would like to do something a bit different with an FM meeting over the summer, perhaps involving a walk and a picnic vibe. But that may require a bit more planning ahead with regards to availability. So I’m just going to throw some dates up on a poll and go from there. If it turns out to be an evening dinner, I’ll aim to do something different in August…

For the record, the online FM meeting that Ugne is organising for next week concerns membership, onboarding and recruitment. The meeting being organised here concerns maintaining our group dynamic and assessing the wellbeing of the project from our individual perspectives…
This full members meeting will be something else than the plenary meeting scheduled tomorrow Saturday 5th, right? Because on the topic of the plenary for tomorrow, @Lee explained on 18th June : “I would like to poll already to see who can make it for the meeting of the 5th of July. The time would be 11 am to 1 pm. If everything goes well, this one will serve as a General Assembly of our société simple, so it could be that it will be for Full Members only, possibly leaving Associate and Exploring Members the possibility to attend as observers (to be confirmed)”.

Friday 18th is one of the date you proposed in the poll. Just be aware is the same date that @manuelpueyo proposed for a Stamstag to celebrate the summer togheter ^^ (Stamstag 18 july at tipsy tribe)
On Sunday 20th was initialy planned a Stamstag (on Sunday and not during the week, for people who can’t make it during the week). I know it because I just joined the @reef-communitylife Team But the team realized that maybe only us noted this date on our agenda So, given the fact this WE could be very intense (socialization on Friday, NVC session Saturday and maybe and Full members meeting on Sunday), we could move this initial Sunday Stamstag to another WE.
With Chris still being on a break, here’s a very short reply:
The purpose of the in-person FM meetings is to create a moment of connection, and to see how everybody is doing. We have noticed that we really need these, so it sometimes happen that if a less important event is scheduled on the same day (e.g. a social), we prefer to re-schedule the less important event.
The poll spoke, and the our next meal/meeting/connection will be this Friday evening (the 18th).
No formal agenda at this point, so I’m open to people reaching out to me beforehand if there’s anything that they feel needs to be addressed.
In the absence of that, we’ll have a couple of appreciation rounds, followed by the opportunity to talk about how we feel in the project individually, and use what comes up in those rounds to inform the subsequent discussion.
In terms of practicalities, a potluck dinner at 7pm. Being on time is always much appreciated for these events, so that we don’t end up feeling tired or rushed for the meeting part.
Whatever flexibility you need, you’ve come to the right people
As it’s a potluck dinner, you don’t need to prepare anything special. Everyone will bring a plate to share. Normally I like to leave the menu in the hands of the potluck gods, but can we be aware that there’s a couple of gluten frees in the house, and one vegan trying to get back on the wagon. Also, if you’re thinking dessert, perhaps a good idea to indicate that below…
