I had lunch with an (American) friend who is a postman in Brussels. When asking him how we could make life easy on postpeople, he said:
- Choose one house number, for example, 473 and number the units in line with their physical location. So, units would be numbered 473-01 to 473-22 (use the 0 – easy for automatic sorting)
- Do not use building names or their abbreviations (O, A or I) because it is confusing. [please!].
- Use the same numbers when your register at the commune. Avoids a ton of problems.
- For packages, install a drop box that prevents packages being fished out and with key access for reeflings. He’ll send pictures of the boxes he likes.
