One small win for the rule of law and against Poland's dictatorship

I was happy to see this in the news…
It is unfortunately a small price to pay in order for Poland to get the tens of billions of EUR for the post-covid recovery.


An interesting question is whether such payments are deducted from financial support to member states on other budget items. I think I read it was so, but now cannot find the reference.

I don’t know either, but given the delays of approval by the EC of Poland’s national recover plan, I would think they are anyway losing other budgets until more efforts are made to uphold human rights and respect the primacy of EU législation.
