One To One Labs Follow up

OCI Lab Team, @zmorda and @amiraGbs, conducted four One to One Labs on Sunday, January 19, 2020. The OTO lab’s objectives are collecting the project leaders’ feedbacks regarding the differents labs and assessing their needs in terms of contributors and support that the team can add to the prototyping phase.

The First One To One Lab was with @HadeerGhareeb Didi Asks’s project leader.

When joining the online incubation, Hadeer and her team were conducting the testing phase; they tested the game rules, the questions, and the designs, and they managed to sell the first product.

After assisting the labs, Didi Asks team members are thinking of improving the product through dividing it into separate sets and developing new cards in different themes that were not included in the first product (gender issue, icebreaking, team building).

For the next phase, they will be working on improving the packaging, and the quality of the content. This step will enhance the chances of selling the product online.

The team assessed as well their need in terms of Social Media Marketing.

Afterward, @zmorda explained the selection process and the means of support that OCI Lab is offering. She recommended as well to write a post on the platform to share an overview of the project’s progress and the impact of the labs so far.

The Second OTO Lab was with @Labiedzayneb , representing the team of “KENZIMOR”.

@Labiedzayneb as present for the team, is a Master’s student in entrepreneurship and managerial engineering and social entrepreneur based in Morocco.

Kenzimor is a business marketplace that will facilitate the reunion of the cooperatives and the tourists.

Zaineb was concerned because she and the team background is finance & Management; that when Zmorda highlighted the role of the contributors.

In terms of the prototype, Kenzimor team will work to collect an address book that will serve as a database of the cooperatives that they will be working with. The assessment will be held in different areas in Morocco.

They will also be assessing the added value of each cooperative, overview of their products (pictures, samples, etc.) as well as to review the efficiency of having only tourists as customers.

Another idea was discussed through this OTO lab is to change the objective from e-commerce to a marketing platform that displays the prices, the pictures, and even the stories behind each product. This step will help to enhance the credibility & trust for these products.

@Zmorda recommended to @Zaineb to share their feedback on the platform. She explained as well the selection process and the means of support that OCI Lab is offering.

The Third One To One Lab was with @MostafaBaydoun Temple’s Project Leader.

Mostafa has just joined the program, for that the OCI Lab team started by welcoming him and giving him a more precise overview of the process and the roles of the mentors and the contributors.

After that, we started a discussion about the project to assist him in knowing what will be his prototype.

Mostafa has an idea of the services that Temple will provide, namely, trainings, youth support, discussion circles, etc.

He was concerned as well with the legal framework of Temple, as it can’t be social entreprise he has to choose between association, enterprise, or both. Zmorda advised him to consult a chartered accountant or a lawyer to decide.

For the next phase, Mostafa will be matched with a Mentor to assist him in delivering the first, second, and third offline tasks.

@zmorda recommended as well to write a post on the platform to share an overview of the project with the community.

The Fourth OTO Lab was with @khadijaouabdelmoumen, the Project Leader of Alphawomen.

Khadija is an entrepreneur; she is leading an enterprise of business development in North Africa. She and her team are developing their new startup Alphawomen.

@Alphawomen is an exchange & coaching platform that aims to empower women.

Khadija shared a quick overview of the project’s progress and discussed with OCI Lab team ideas about the launching of the project and the planning of the coaching sessions in March.

To be able to prototype, Alphawomen team will need to have a mobile developer joins the team; That’s when Zmorda highlighted the contributors’ role and how they can be enabled through the support of a contributor.

@Zmorda recommended to khadija to share their feedback on the platform. She explained as well the selection process and the means of support that OCI Lab is offering.
