Plenary meeting 15 October 2024

Hello @reeflings,

We will be seeing each other tomorrow for a plenary meeting. Key topics on the agenda are the following:

  • How to handle a possible price increase

  • Oak Tree: way forward

  • Feedback to the architects

If energy is scarce, my recommendation is to focus on the Oak Tree topic. Thanks to the mighty @Sophie_B the documentation is super complete and easy to read. The links are in the proposal for tomorrow, in which I synthesized the current state-of-play and propose a way forward (to be consented or objected to). The invitation here is to check with yourself on where you stand with this, and to speak your mind freely. As this is relatively important decision: if you can’t make it tomorrow, can you please pass on your input either in a message below, or else by talking to someone who will be attending?

If then you have some energy left, it would be great if you could have a look at the presentation that I prepared on the feedback that we need to give to the architects. Thanks to the mighty @Sarah, who grouped all the questions, it was easy to list the key issues and questions that (I think) we should prioritise right now and propose a way forward.

As part of that discussion, there is a slide in which I tried to summarise all the arguments that have been voiced regarding the positioning of the Reeflings only zone. I agree that there is no rush to get to a decision on this, and at the same time it is not a trivial decision, and also one that may reduce the price increase. So if you have mental energy left over, it would be great if you could check with yourself where you stand with this.

As a side note to the feedback to the architects, the mighty @els would like to share the outcome of the survey on everybody’s apartments choice, which seems to be looking good. This is the link: Login – Nextcloud. This is just an information point though, and also very important to note that this survey was not binding and that the choice will only be final once we have reached the avant-projet stage.

As for the logistics, we are meeting at my place (for lack of a better place), and we’ll start at 19:30 sharp. Can you please let us know whether you’ll be there in the poll below?

Sorry, too complicated for both of us tonight, for late work schedule combined with child reasons.
About Oak Tree, I shared my idea on Saturday already, which is : great if they want to come back in the project, but very important to agree before on a way of collaborating together (basically, I think it won’t work if they don’t have time or desire to discuss some topics / answer questions).

I wanted to share my thoughts on the potential opportunity with Trigenta. Given that they are a significant player in the real estate investment market, I believe this is a situation where we should approach the negotiations strategically. it might be wise to to to disclose our pricing at first

Rather than simply offering a modest increase (such as 1% above the casco price), I suggest we consider the potential value of the units from a more business-oriented perspective. Given Trigenta’s resources, I believe there’s a chance to secure a higher profit from this sale and fund our common spaces!

If then afterwards you would like to follow uo with some things I missed, you can always add them?
