I am a bit unsure about what to do with this plenary. The Full Members have three in-person meetings this week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday), and some of us have also have an online meeting on Tuesday. That’s probably a bit much?
In addition, three topics that would have gone on the agenda for the plenary are to be presented by @alberto, who can’t make it. That leaves the outreach issue about the only one that is left.
Noting that we agreed that the outreach proposal needs to be ready to be consented to (say in 20 minutes max), I was therefore wondering whether it would be possible to shift this to the Full Members meeting on Thursday? Conditions for that to be possible are 1) @reef-conflict agrees to add this to the agenda, and 2) there are enough people who can make it to the Full Members meeting on Thursday. Alternatively we could also meet online on Wednesday?
I’m taking the liberty to launch a poll to see what is possible and where people stand, but of course @reef-conflict please feel free to weigh in and say no to having it on Thursday’s agenda of course.
The downside of all this is that we lose an opportunity to meet our exploring and associate members. If need be I guess we can solve that by organising a brunch or evening drinks one of these days?

Currently there are 8 sign ups for the FM dinner.
I am not a big fan of the idea to discuss the proposal at the FM dinner. The purpose of the FM dinner is more to foster connection and create space for a less formal conversation about broader topics affecting The Reef, rather than consent to a specific proposal.
Bringing in a plenary topic for consent seems to me like it will distract from that original intention and could interfere with how the rest of the dinner plays out.
That being said, I will be there on Thursday and could facilitate this topic if needed.
Also looking to @Liesbet’s opinion on this as she is also facilitating the FM dinner.

I agree with your arguments. I think I was mostly looking for a way to free up at least one evening.

Thanks @Lee for flagging the issue of having too many meetings this week. I thought the same, but I didn’t dare to complain. However, in my ranking of “importance “ for all the three meetings, I would have put the Full Members dinner in third place and suggest to R to skip it (and that’s what we will probably do).
Same here, I would have skipped the FM diner.
I agree that moving the outreach issue to the FM meeting is not in line with the purpose of the FM meetings.
Additional problem: I cannot make Thursday either, will return too late from a conference.

I’m not sure there is any really good solution to this. Given the limited attendance at the Full Members dinner, and the fact that some would rather not discuss the outreach issue there, I would propose to turn Wednesday’s plenary into a short online meeting. I’ll make the agenda tonight, though it can only be summarised in a few words: 1) proposal from Team External, 2) (if no consent is reached) Plan B proposal.
