We already have orange for deadlines, so I wouldn’t add anything more.

Not everybody uses the Nextcloud Calendar though, so I would like to insist that we also put deadlines for online consent in the Full Members chat.

@alberto : i see an orange one but it says ‘Deck (Team It)?’, and i cannot select it.

do i miss something?

That’s a legacy calendar in use in the early days.

@els, when you click on a day in the calendar to create a new event, at the top you can choose a color for the type of event. For me “birthday” (grey) is the first one on the list, deadlines (orange) is the next one.

guess it’s linked to rights, this is what i see as possibilities, so no ‘deadline’ event

seeing the orange deadlines now! Thanks (i guess alberto or lee)

We have this in the governance doc:

5.2.1.3.Written consent

The person or Team in charge writes a post on the forum explaining the situation and tags all the Reeflings. The default period to wait for objections is 5 days, but this can be shortened or lengthened if needed.
Some modalities:

  • Tag @reef-full (ping @reeflings if appropriate), and if it’s urgent and/or important, put a link to the thread in the Signal emergency chat.
  • In the title: add “CONSENT OR OBJECT”
  • In the text:
    • Cover as a minimum: the proposal, the background and/or need, and the deadline.
    • Invite objections (to be discussed) or the use of the heart function to consent.
    • Clarify that doing neither of these things within 5 days is considered as consent.

Technically it means that online consent should give min 5 days to answer. If it’s less or if it’s important, then we need to put a message in the signal group.
Is that not enough? Can you explain what you would need?

Also I can make a post to re-clarify this if we’re good with it.

Thanks a lot for that @Sarah!

I just talked to @els, and one of the things that came up was finding the right balance between attracting people’s attention and giving them the time to find it, and not over-burdening them with operational decisions.

I am preparing a proposal on a temporary governance reform (following up to the meeting with the architects on keeping the planning), and I was planning to include a point on this. I have something in mind, I just need to write it up and put it online for consultation and discusssion. Would that work?

Sorry I missed your message!
Happy for you to suggest something for the online consent if you have something in mind

Eventually the thing I included in the proposal that we consented to last Saturday just referred to the text of the Governance Document as you quoted it above. I think that should be enough, and I would just evaluate how things are going in the next coming weeks.
