Was the category of the posts changed at some point? I’m getting an access control warning which means the category is protected or invisible.
@matthias I’m getting access control errors for fetching topics by tag (Topics tagged remote-services-french) when those topics are in subcategories on the forum (workspaces, Edgeryders “Summary” Websites, but curiously “Campfire” works fine) - any idea what might be the issue here? We weren’t encountering this problem before.
Just changed the tag to ‘blog’ and they display - so I think there is an issue with the category these posts are in. I’ll try temporarily moving them to a different place.
This happened because I had by default muted all categories used exclusively for webkit content, to spare users the notification spamming (see this issue, where one of our users complained about that). However, that also removed the topics in these categories from the “Latest” lists of all the tags, interfering with the intended webkit functions as you observed.
So I have defined a different way to mute notifications about webkit topics, and documented it. For you this simply means right now to not create any new categories for webkit content. Instead, everything should go into the “Edgeryders “Summary” Websites” category (which we’ll have to rename at some point). For me it means to mute the webkit categories on a per-user basis for any new users when they are created, which is an issue I’ll handle every week manually with a batch operation in the Discourse admin backend, and in the future with a Discourse plugin, which still has to be developed.
I have moved the three affected pieces of content back into the “Remote Work” category now (see), and with the new setup the corresponding website continues to work. Please move back any other content you might have moved temporarily, because we have already too much chaos in the categories …
