Hi @reeflings !
As most of you know, Sarah and I have to move out of our rented house this June and find somewhere else to live. Our house has been a colocation for more than 15 years, and as such, is full of furniture (both indoor and outdoor), kitchenware, etc. that has long ago been abandoned by previous flatmates.
Although it is not clear exactly where Sarah and I will end up in July, it is possible that we won’t have a lot of space to store things. Which would be a shame, as many of the things that would have to be thrown or given away might be useful for the Reef’s common spaces. We’ve discussed the idea before of using a random assortment of furniture, etc. at the beginning, in order to give ourselves more time to decide what we need in the common spaces and what we don’t. And things like outdoor tables and chairs (which are good quality and in good condition) would be more than appropriate to be used in the garden, saving us the expense of buying them.
Where am I going with this? Perhaps we will not be the only ones in this position over the next few years, and perhaps it is worth thinking now if we have some storage options between us for such an eventuality. Do any of us have spare storage capacity? Are there creative solutions available?
All thoughts and feedback welcome…
