[TIK TOK ACITIVSM]

When someone says TikTok, they usually think of lipsync videos, fancy cosplays and funny skits. It can also be a tool to discover human right abuse, such as the prosecution of Uyghurs in Xinjiang.

[SMART CITIES]

There’s a global move towards smart cities. While AI systems are being implemented in them to make them work, why don’t we use the momentum and make them work for everyone, including the planet?

Every smart city project should be aligned with UN SDGs: Towards Carbon-Neutral Smart Cities (Call for feedback on proposed festival session) - Events - Edgeryders

Hey Cindy, so - there are a number of different spaces on the platform where we do stuff/ There are the workspaces where we coordinate work on projects etc and they include a self-hosted alternative to slack. Then there are spaces where we discuss things not necessarily tied to project work - kind of like a community hangout. You can see where you are at any time via the coloured label on the top left hand corner of the page just next to the edgeryders logo. Campfire is a public space where we share news with the community through a mix of peer to peer content, and editorialised news posts like ^^. I’m guessing @inge is swamped and hasnt had enough time to show you around but I maybe after the weekend she will have a bit more time.
