After few months in Matera, we realized that quiet a lot of efforts have been made to produce data/information/maps about the city. The Open data community is also very active in Matera.
Why not leveraging this effort during the lote 4 ? Of course not all the data are free or open. BUT if we manage to find few more datasets/maps, I am sure we will find something very useful/exciting to create out of it during the hackathon. So what do we got…
- Matera Open data portal (demography, transportation, budgets, urbanism, real estate, and more).
Some linked data experiments have already been done [here] .
State of the art of open data in Matera [here]
- Tourism in matera in GIS
- Pophub - mapping empty spaces in italy (A lot in basilicata)
- Matera space center egeos - Earth Observation and Geo-Spatial information business (private but we could find a solution)
- Unguide piccianello
- Traditional knowledge world bank report here + demo here, but the demo does not work apparently. I am gonna try to meet Pietro Laureano in Matera.. and see why the demo does not work and whether it could be used or not)
What do you think ? Any more ideas ?
