ECOLISE membership?

I sent an inquiry to ECOLISE to see if it makes sense for us to be a member. They replied it is possible for an individual cohousing to be a member, and provided some information for us to evaluate whether we want to apply.

  • Website.
  • Membership guidelines. Money is not a problem, The Reef ASBL would pay 60 EUR a year. We would be one of four local initiatives.
  • Something that we could be interested in is their regenerative communities fund. This is to launch later this month. The first call is to select five national hubs: this would be good for us, as it would position us much more centrally with respect to the entire debate. Unfortunately, Belgium is not an eligible country. What does everybody think?

My call is that engaging with ECOLISE would be interesting, but entail additional capacity that, at the moment, we do not have. I propose to shelve it until the group is complete and possibly @reef-external acquires some extra capacity.

I agree with you Alberto. It looks interesting. A pity Belgium is not an eligible country for their regenerative fund. Maybe will be in the future :crossed_fingers:.

Once the group is complete, we’ll hopefully have more time and extra capacity to look closely at our membership with ECOLISE and the initiatives we can put in place.

it’s quite interesting! i agree we may not have the capacity to follow. we need to wait maybe when there is a belgium hub that we could join.
