Now that a poster is on the way (see Creating a new poster), I figure there is an opportunity to spread it a bit more widely once it’s there. The way I picture it, it would be a bit like the scouting strategy, but with posters.
It’s just an idea of course, and I’m not sure if it would work, but would somebody be willing to spend a bit of time on a website like Visit.Brussels, Out.be or whichever you can find, and see whether we can make a short list of events where we could find people who might be interested to join us?
From there we could just direct everybody to the list, to see whether there is a time and a date that suits them, and send them for a ninja-like intervention putting up 2-3 posters in an inconspicuous place.
Thanks so much for taking this up! This is indeed more or less how I pictured it.
Here’s a thought - just for your consideration - to possibly make the list easier to use for people to pick up one event. I imagine people might be available on certain dates only, so if we would have a column with a “date” (day), then the sheet becomes sortable. Idem for the location I imagine, so I would maybe put “commune” next to that. The address and more people can find on the website themselves, no need to invest time in that.
This way I picture that the database becomes a bit like the scouting map, where people can pick something that suits them best.
If that way of setting up the sheet would clash with events that run the entire summer (e.g. Park Poetik etc), then maybe this could be solved with a second tab, on which we list the summer-long events?
As usual: just some thoughts of course. Doer decides!
