Ecoiris, Ropi, Epi, Get-it, Valeureux, Toreke… local complementary currencies initiatives are spreading in Belgium just like in many other local communities all over the world.
Marek Hudon, Head of Microfinance Department Solvay Business School, will give a talk on glocal complementary currencies bottlenecks and draw conclusions on his experience in the sector. A preview on these bottlenecks: -social adhesion and conflicts; -creating the need to use CC; volunteer-based management downfalls.
The talk will be followed by a discussion animated by some special guests: Ronald Huynen, co-founder of Time bank, the renowned Community Currency, accessible to everyone, to share skills and knowledge, together with Margaux, the initiator of Time Bank in Brussels and Tom Dutry, manager of the local currency of Ghent’s Rabot-Blaisantvest district Toreke.
The session will be followed by a SenseFiction unfail CC hosted by Céline Bouton, the co-founder of SenseCube Brussels.
