Next public presentation – 29 April 2025

Hi @reeflings !

Our next public presentation will take place on 29 April, which is a Tuesday evening. As usual, the venue will be Salle Miro at Brutopia (Forest), which has been booked.

We only have 18 days to get a crowd together for this, as it took a bit longer than expected to reserve the room. So more important than ever to do all we can to get the word out… :slight_smile:

Finally, as I said last time we started setting up a presentation, we really need everyone to step up and spread the word these days, so that we get a decent attendance at each one. There will also be an online presentation in the near future, and another public presentation in Jette next month (details to follow).

Therefore, the request (as it was last time) from Team R&O is for everyone to do a little extra to connect with potential attendees. Can you put flyers in your local bio shop or library? Have you reached out to everyone in your personal networks? Do you know anyone in local media or journalism, who we might approach for a bit of visibility? I’m sure there are a ton of creative options for getting our attendance numbers up that we haven’t even thought of yet…

We can’t over-emphasise how important for the project it is to prioritise recruitment at this stage, so thank you everyone for whatever you can do to help the process…

What about the Meetup group? I joined, but it looks like I am unable to create a new event.

I’ve been leaving leaflets here and there around my neighbourhood (swimming pools, elzenhof, the crèche). I suggest the following for the IG account. I can also do it if given access :blush::

  • Change our account from @thereefbxl to @thereefcohousing so, at first sight, people know what the reef is.
  • Go to other cohousings accounts (like Tivoli) and check who are they following
  • Follow Architect studios that follow cohousings (we need to follow the account of Stekke and Fraas!)
  • Follow like-minded, brussels-life-related accounts: ecolo brussels, ecolo jette, commune de jette, commune the laeken, cultural centre of jette, critical mass, brussels by bike, wonen in Brussel, etc.
  • Tag the account of our architects and accounts related to jette, sustainable living, etc when we publish about public presentations.

good ideas! @Manoj is managing the IG account. but if you want to use it there are login credentials at the Team IT folder in nextcloud

Hi @MariaAM,

Would you be willing to take (temporarily) manage our Facebook and Instagram accounts? Manoj is on a break, this is a critical source of promotion and you really seem to know what you are doing. No wrong answers of course.

Yes, happily. I am less familiar with FB now because I stopped using it actively years ago, but will catch up.
