I’ll give you admin rights.

Yup. I’m aiming for Monday.

I’ll be happy to search for the login data if that’s not a problem :hugs:

Hi @MariaAM,

Would you be willing to take (temporarily) manage our Facebook and Instagram accounts? Manoj is on a break, this is a critical source of promotion and you really seem to know what you are doing. No wrong answers of course.

Background: link to my handover from a couple of weeks ago: Promoting The Reef in Facebook groups

Yes, happily. I am less familiar with FB now because I stopped using it actively years ago, but will catch up.

I have created the new event for 29th April on Facebook. Will also update the google forms link on Immoweb.

Hey @reef-recruitment and @Lee !

Just seen Maria’s message in the Signal group that there is a national strike on the 29th. What are our thoughts on rescheduling this? I would be inclined to go ahead, but maybe that’s too optimistic…

With only 10 people who registered my first idea was to call it off. A plan B could probably be to do it online?

I was also thinking about shifting it online, but I wondered if there wasn’t more value in people attending a presentation in person if they were able to. We had talked about doing the next online presentation on the 6th… what about online on the 29th and change the booking at Miro to the 6th?

Yep, that would be an elegant solution.

@ugne - shall we chat during the plenary today about the practicalities of doing that…

Tagging @reef-recruitment and @reef-external – there are currently no registrations for this event, and it has been suggested that we cancel it. However, in light of our occasionally erratic communication recently, and our current willingness and enthusiasm to ‘up our game’ ( :muscle:), we will keep the possibility of this presentation going ahead until middle of next week, at which point we can decide whether to continue or move it online…

Hey @ugne, @mieke and @Lee !

The middle of next week has arrived, and there are currently 7 registrations. I would say that we need about 20 to make it worth the effort of going ahead, in light of the fact that about half of those registered turn up.

I’m not sure whether it’s best to cancel now and shift it online, or leave it open until the end of the weekend and re-evalutate. I don’t think we’ll get our 50 back from Miro either way (although we could try).

Thoughts?

I really have no opinion, I am not really convinced we will have 13 more registrations in the next few days though, especially since there are other opportunities to attend a presentation in the near future
(I amended my first post because I first thought we should not cancel yet, but that was probably too optimistic (as usual haha)

Btw, there are only 6 registrations so far (not 7)

I don’t think it’s realistic to expect there will be 10 people showing up, so I would consider making the decision right now of doing it online. This way Team External can give it an extra push e.g. on Facebook and let people know in time that it will be online.

For the 50 euro I wouldn’t worry too much. I would tell Victor, so he knows he can give the room to somebody else. The money I would consider as some sort of gratitude sponsoring. It sucks, but we can pretty much only blame ourselves. It’s fine.

I recommend leaving it as is. With fewer attendees, fewer Reeflings must be in attendance Also, the intimacy has some advantages. It’s not, however, my call.

I worry it’s going to be a bit awkward and also that it eats up an entire evening, but I’m fine with whatever will be decided.
