For the last presentation I have experimented quite a lot on how we can promote The Reef on Facebook without spending money.
I don’t want to take up this task any longer, so here is my report about what I learned.
@reef-external can you please take over from here?

Generating an ad or an introduction with emojis sprinkled in between works quite well.
I saved a document with some of the texts that I generated in Team External > Communication > Facebook: Login – Nextcloud

Things to bear in mind when posting
-
Almost all real estate groups rejected the ad. What could be tried is posting with a personal profile, posting a regular ad (instead of sharing the event) or posting with a real picture of the site (instead of the sketch).
-
You can find a list of groups in our profile, when you click on “Groups”. Don’t hesitate to continue to search for other potentially interesting groups.
-
I tried to stagger the posting in the different groups, i.e. I posted a message in one of the Jette groups on day 1, and then in another group on day 3 etc.
-
The day before the event I tried to bring the message back up by posting “it’s tomorrow!”
-
You need to check in occasionally to see whether we didn’t get any toxic comments. If that would happen, there is a button when you log in with our profile that says “hide or delete”.
-
Whenever I’m logged in I usually also take 2 minutes to like some of the posts in our feed, e.g. from Samenhuizen or H&P.
