Next public presentation - 3 April 2025

Our next public presentation will take place on 3 April, which is a Thursday evening. As usual, the venue will be Salle Miro at Brutopia (Forest), which has been booked.

Also tagging @Dave_Starhawk for the bar. I think we should have enough of most things leftover from the last presentation.

Finally, we committed as a group to continuing with the presentations as a means of connecting with the remaining households to complete the community, which entails that they will be happening at a fairly regular frequency. This means that we really need everyone to step up and spread the word, so that we get a decent attendance at each one. This particular presentation is taking place especially early after the last one, largely due to other factors regarding timing and availability, so slightly less than three weeks to make it happen.

Therefore, the request from Team R&O is for everyone to do a little extra to connect with potential attendees. Can you put flyers in your local bio shop or library? Have you reached out to everyone in your personal networks? Do you know anyone in local media or journalism, who we might approach for a bit of visibility? I’m sure there are a ton of creative options for getting our attendance numbers up that we haven’t even thought of yet…

We can’t over-emphasise how important for the project it is to prioritise recruitment at this stage, so thank you everyone for whatever you can do to help the process…

Hi @reef-recruitment : looks like the interview with bruzz is going to happen. I have no idea if it will appear before April 3rd. Do you happen to have an idea wen the one after that would happen. If not, no problem, will refer to the newsletter

Hi @reef-external,

Can it be an idea to change the content of the next newsletter a bit? Instead of just saying “we are organising a presentation”, maybe we can list a couple of our selling points, and then make a request to all the “friends of The Reef” to forward the newsletter to three people they think could know people who could be interested?

Just an idea though. Whatever you decide, I’d be grateful if you could apply the four eyes principle this time, given that the last three newsletters that went out had mistakes in them. TIA!

We don’t have a date set at this point. But we’re having a meeting tomorrow, so we can chat about it then…

Putting an ad on Immoweb can also be helpful. This could give us wider reach. I quickly checked today and it showed minimum 100€ for 1 month or 150€ for 4 months (their basic package) cost for posting an ad. I can check the details if we see it as a possibility. What do we say?

Is it possible that the newsletter still didn’t go out? (I didn’t receive it in any case) No need to explain I guess that we’re in code red when it comes to spreading the news, and that the entire group is counting on you to take responsibility for the things that are in your domain.

I have some flyers left but don’t know if that will be enough…

Summarising the spreading-the-word efforts so far. Please correct me if i am wrong or if i missed anything:

  1. Odile, Sarah and Els will be distributing flyers this weekend.

  2. Facebook event is created by Lee. I have started to post on different facebook groups. Please post the event on your timelines also.

  3. I am not sure if newsletter is already distributed. @manuelpueyo can you please confirm/ take care of it in case pending? Else, i am happy to help.

  4. Email marketing: Please share the email/registration link to relevant people.

  5. Immoweb ad is work in progress. If everything works well, it should be live by this weekend.

i picked the leaflets up that manuel left at lee’s place in the meantime.
