Plenary meeting 15 February 2026

Hello @reeflings,

At the time of writing it’s not clear yet how things will work out, but as calendars fill up quickly and because it looks likely that we’ll need full day plenary, I would like to already launch a poll to see where were stand. Could you please fill it in?

  • 10:30 - 13:00 - yes
  • 14:00 - 17:00 - yes
  • Lunch in between - yes
  • Can’t make it this time

Apologies to those who had voted already, I had wrongly set the maximum number of options, so I needed to replace the poll to get to meaningful results.

Hello @reeflings,

Quick heads-up that the agenda for Sunday’s plenary is starting to get ready: the topics are known, but the preparatory documents are still a work-in-progress. An update will follow once these are ready.

The proposal would be to meet from 13:30 until 16:30 at Joannes’ place. After that there is the idea to create a moment of connection for the Full Members, given that it’s been a while since we have had a Full Members Dinner. More details about that will follow shortly …

Hello everyone,

There have been some posts and talks about the need to spend a moment together among full members. Like Lee said, we will take a moment this Sunday to share our thoughts, frustrations, expectations, and fears. The feeling of being out of control can be frightening and even frustrating. At the same time we are confronted with the reshuffling of the units. It nudges us onto our individual islands, with our individual needs (financial, spatial, how much sun we want), and I think it is very important to stay connected as a group at this moment.

Thank you, Maria, for the lovely idea of already having a moment like this online. I was very happy to join for those few minutes. Also thanks to Sarah, who had a similar idea and already put many of her thoughts into words that I could borrow for this post. And thanks to Lee and Els, for reaching out and making space in the agenda this Sunday.

If it’s OK with you, I will facilitate this moment on behalf of the conflict management team. We will still think about the format, but I believe it should remain simple and straightforward.

If you already have ideas or thoughts you’d like to share here (perhaps a nice short ritual?), please don’t hesitate. For anyone with a lot on their mind, it could be a good exercise to try to put it into words so we can hear each other this Sunday. And for those who’d prefer to sit back and observe, and/or those who prefer one-on-one contact, that’s absolutely fine.

I don’t think I’m the only one pondering at night—excited about the Reef, stressed, a bit scared, all at the same time. I’m very happy to see you all this Sunday.

Hello @reeflings,

Here are the final details for tomorrow’s meeting …

The plenary meeting

  • We will start at 13:30 sharp, so grateful if you could arrive 10-15 minutes early so that we are sure that we can start in time.

  • There are two Powerpoints available in the agenda for now (a third is on the way). If you’d have the time to have a look at them before joining that might be useful for making the meeting as efficient as possible.

  • It is a bit difficult to predict the time, but ideally it should be possible to end the meeting by 16:00.

The connection part

  • As you can read above, the mighty @Sterre is offering to facilitate a meeting where we can share how we are doing (i.e. a bit like a Full Member Dinner). At the same time we have @reef-communitylife’s idea of a goûter.

  • As it is a bit complicated to sort out things like this last minute, the proposal would be this:

    • If a couple of people could bring a snack or a drink, we keep open the option of the goûter.
    • In function of when the plenary ends and how many people are willing and able to stay, we can decide together on how to use our time together.

The lunch part

  • The lunch part is also not fully clear, but @joannes offered to put something in the chat.
