It’s a lot to be organising at the same time, and the preparation for the first two presentations is well underway. The venue for 18 May has just been confirmed, so time to do all the usual tasks for this presentation as well (Login – Nextcloud).
This is the first time that we have presented at the Ilot de Spiegel cohousing (which is an earlier project from our architects), and it is the first time that we have presented on a Sunday morning.
@alberto - not exactly sure how we go about paying the invoice for this one (25 euros)… I expect that Eva, the contact person, will let me know at some point.
Recruitment is one of our biggest priorities at the moment. Consequently, we really need everyone to step up and spread the word, so that we get a decent attendance at each presentation!
A question concerning the presentation on the 18 May in Jette.
I guess you are planning to go the site afterwards?
I ask because I am planning to call Yves, the neighbor, one of these days. And I would mention that we would want the site to be ‘activity free’ on this date
Hadn’t thought that far ahead, but very good idea to visit the site afterwards…
This is important, because it is exactly at about that time on a Sunday when a bunch of lads in white vans turn up and hang out on the site, which would not be ideal…
Can we get an idea about who will be at the public presentation with us in Jette on Sunday. It starts at 11h, so I’ll be there from 10h and people will start to arrive at about 10h30. We have the room until 13h, and it would be nice if someone could go with some of the attendees to the site for a visit afterwards (I’m not able to). @els has spoken with the neighbour, so there won’t be the usual meeting of men with vans that usually takes place on Sundays.
I can lead a group of excited potential Reeflings to the site afterwards

@Dave_Starhawk is sorting tea, coffee and biscuits. Does anyone have a coffee press that we could use?
@Lee - is it silly to try and get the maquette there and back?
@mieke - I remembered that we can only have a maximum of 30 people at the venue. When I looked at the registration list earlier, doesn’t look like this will be a problem. But if we got 20 more registrations between now and Sunday, we might need a tactic…
I won’t be able to arrive before 11:45. Could somebody who will be there from the start print the list with names from the Google registration form and sign off the attendees? Thanks a lot!
Thanks @joannes ! I’ll print the registration form for the names, as we’ll need that from 10h30ish. If you could print a couple of copies of the latest plans, that would be wonderful!
Hello @reeflings , Sarah and I were planning to meet with Alain from Vosberg (fr. Vauberge) at some point after the visit to the site ( around 2pm) to learn how they dealt with some of the challenges we’ll be facing in the phase until we’ll receive a permit: talking to banks, RFP (request for proposal to entrepreneurs), setting up statutes , an owner’s copropriété and division of the property, among others. Feel free to join us or send us any questions you’d like us to ask.
We initially indicated to meet at Place Miroir and will confirm once we hear back from Alain.
For tomorrow’s presentation, I will be there at 10h to open up. People will probably start to arrive at 10h30ish, and the presentation is due to start at 11h.
Who’s bringing what:
I’m bringing an extension cord, multiplug, tingsha bells and the registration list
Lee and Alberto are bringing the Reef’s beamer and an HDMI cable
(there’s a white wall there to project onto)
Dave is bringing tea, coffee and biscuits
Sophie and I are bringing coffee plungers
Joannes is bringing printed copies of the plans
@Lee - Eva just told me that there is no internet connection there. I guess not a problem if the presentation slides are already on your computer.
After the presentation, some or all of Sophie, Manoj, Mieke and Joannes will head to the site with whoever is interested from the presentation…
