Hi Hannah,
After consulting the team, no, that will not be a problem, the proposal for the the plenary should do.

Hi everyone,
A quick update on where we are currently regarding the “Fresh Start” exercise and the transition of the Coordination Group.
As the current discussions over unit attribution are taking a significant amount of everyone’s time and energy, the “Fresh Start” exercise (defining team objectives, roles, and priorities) is still a work in progress. We are moving at a pace that respects the group’s current bandwidth, but please rest assured this item is high priority on the Coordination team’s backlog.
We have advanced with the division of tasks held by the Coordination Group leader : different Team Leaders members have stepped in to cover specific responsibilities as detailed in this list : Login – Nextcloud. If you need help with a particular matter, please address the person listed in this document.
For everything else, we continue to work as a collective to ensure the project’s heartbeat stays strong

Onward and upward! ![]()
Maybe to make it a little more concrete, for those who are interested. As it is not possible start a new circle out of the blue, it is taking some time - as expected - to get things going.
Nevertheless we are seeing considerable process. At the last meeting, for the first time we did a tour de table where all the teams reported on what is going on in their teams at the moment (just like we used to do when the Group still existed). We also had a short group discussion about “taking responsibility”, a topic that was brought by Team Governance & Working Methods, which will at some point also be brought to a plenary meeting.
Other than that we continue to experiment with the division of tasks (see list shared above by Lucia). The idea is that we can all get a feel for how this is working out for us, to then re-evaluate one last time at the next meeting. That said, the idea is also to do a selection / consent process on the division of the task and the Coordination Group Leader, which will then be brought to the plenary for a final round of consent.
The next meeting is planned for the middle of May.

Just a quick clarification: this thread is meant to be about the general process, so that Reeflings who are interested in where we are with the transition to more shared leadership can find it here. More trivial communication between us is supposed to go in the “general communication” thread (linked above).
Hello @reeflings,
Here’s a short update of where we are in general with the relaunch of the Coordination Group and the selection of a new Coordination Group leader.
Overall I would say things are going well. We are finding our rhythm in providing each other with our team’s updates and challenges, and I would say the general feeling is that it is proving to be useful to have a space where we can discuss group-level challenges, and give each other support and feedback (but please @reef-coordination, feel free to add your own impressions).
At the beginning of this process (see posts above) we had set ourselves the objective of selection a new Group Leader by May-June, and this has sadly not worked out. Personally I would attribute it to the general challenges of life getting in the way (one meeting we were only three people, one meeting was cancelled, and the last meeting we decided collectively to prioritise the outreach issue), but again, happy to get other people’s views in reaction to this post.
At the last meeting - where the outreach issue took more time than expected - we all agreed to put the selection process now as the first item on the agenda of the next meeting, so more news about the new Coordination Group Leader should hopefully reach you in September at the latest.
