Local help and assistance
As one of the organizations by Nepali people who help in Nepal, I guess the Believers group members have valuable experience to share with “big international organizations” on how to provide non-harmful and respectful help and assistance. @meenabhatta has just started a lively discussion about it 
Also eye-opening (for me) is the information that they did much the same thing in the Philippines as volunteer disaster responders here in Nepal now … but already 6 year back. So volunteer disaster response is not a new thing that’s enabled by social media or similar stuff. It probably has always happened in disasters, and so far has always stayed out of the attention of professional disaster responders (to my knowledge). Maybe it’s time to talk and find better ways to work together in the next disaster now? This one will not have been the last …
